Day 1. Arrival in Almaty.

You arrive in Almaty. In the airport you will be met by our car. According to the number of arrived persons there will be a bus or a car waiting for you, you will be got to the hotel Aija, which is cosy hotel in centr of the Almaty city. If you arrive in Almaty in the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel (it’s included, from 7.00 till 9.00 morning ). If you arrive later, do not worry, you will not be hungry. If you feel tired and want to have a rest, you can stay at the hotel, but if you want to get acquainted with Almaty, the participants of the tour and feel your bike, go out of the hotel – we wait for you. Our light excursion start from the park of 28 Panfilov`s where there is the Cathedral which was built from trees without any nail and special devices. Then you go to Medeo – the highest skating-rink in the world, which is situated at 2100 meters high in the mountains of Ili Alatau. At this skating-rink there were made 170 world records in skating. Are you amazing? Well, then the huge dam that is situated at the 150 meters height in the canyon to protect the city from rains, will surely astonish you. You can climb by the stairs which are 841 steps and you like atsteki at the stairs of the Chichen Itza temple can wish there anything you want. That is the local sign :)

After that you have a dinner in the Kazakh restaurant “Kazakh Aul” which is situated near the Medeo. There you can taste the most delicious Kazakh dishes which are abundant of mutton meat.

After a dinner it is high time to get acquainted with us. We will be got to our office SilkOffRoad Club by the minibus and there we can get acquainted with each other and discuss our journey and check the bikes.

The rest time till supper you can stay at the hotel or go for a walk by yourself if have coordinated it with us. At the 8.00 p.m. you have a supper at the fashionable restaurant “Chukotka”. Then you return to the hotel and rest. Tomorrow the freedom!!!

Day 2. Almaty – Aral-Tube settelment

Until 8.00 a.m. you must have a breakfast and put on the biker’s uniform. At the 8.00 there will be the bus by which you get to the start place (out side of city) where escort team and motorcycles are waiting for you already. It is made for your convenience to protect you in the city wild traffic from any incidents.

Let’s start! A little bit patience and we are already in the wild Kazakh steppe – Karaoy plateau. There is a plain, endless steppe! Enjoy the free way! There is the only border – between the sky and the earth, between the speedometer pointer and your courage.

But the main obstacle - the desert Taukum. 100 km of hot sand dunes! For nomad is a trifle. Especially when it is waiting for a cold beer in the evening .

In the evening we stay in comfortable homes located in the tourist base. This is a true desert oasis. There is a sauna (if you're still cold)), pool, swimming in river, music, beer and tasty food.. cool rest!!

Day 3. Aral-Tube settelment - Kapchigai lake

Breakfast. Start early in the morning. Today we will drive along the River. A variety of roads - sand, salt marsh, gravel, etc.

Day 4. Kapchigai lake - Baschi village

Breakfast. Start. Today we evade the civilization. From this day you will not be worried by the rings of your phones, because there is no communication. From this place you can meet only nomads on horses, living in yurts like many years ago. Then we go through the plateau Kokhan. It is a hilling steppe along the range Kaprek. Till the midday we get to the Altyn-Emel pass and have a dinner – a delicious mutton “shashlyk” – it will be cooked for us by local men right near the road.

Till the evening we stay at the night in the guest house at the territory of the Altyn-Emel. Here, at the huge distance from the civilization, in a cosy house of the Kazakh family you can have a rest and drink cold beer.

Day 5. Baschi - Charyn canyon

Breakfast. Start. The Altyn-Emel reserve. It is the huge strictly protected territory. Only accompanied by the guider we can go through this territory and see all mysteries of this unique place. At first we go to listen the The Singing Dune. From that place we get to the Aktau mountains. Aktau – the piece of Mars landscape on the Earth.

It is just fantastic! Be ready for appearing any frightened animal out of any bushes, which can show you what speed at off- roads are! If you can catch up with if, you’ll get 100$ from organizers of the tour!)Till the evening we get to the Charyn canyon , it is the unique place too.The descent of the canyon is steep and winding. It is a real trial. Not many can make a descent to this canyon managed not to fall from the bike. If you can make it, you will be rewarded with cold beer! If not – you will wash dishes this day :). The sleep here is strong and healthy Here in the coolness of the river canyon we stay at the night in the tent camp.

Day 6. Charyn canyon - Kaindy lake

Breakfast. Let's knead a body from off-road's jolts and we will make fascinating tracking on rocky breakages of a canyon. If you have weak heart you’d better stay in the camp. Then the climb- driving out of the canyon is waiting for us. Perhaps those who washed dishes yesterday, can drink beer today. But it is not all yet. Leaving the landscapes of plain steppes and red mountains behind, we go to the cool kingdom of green fur-trees and high mountains of the Ili Alatau.

Our climbing begins from the pass named “Wolf’s Gates” through the Toraigyr mountains. In some places there are no roads, there are only the direction with sharp stones. Here you should hold the wheel firmly and not reduce speed if you do not want to get in the bushes. Cold beer and the fattest bit of meat will be waiting for the one who can hold at the bike and can ride it well by the jeep. We hope for it.

This day is specially full of off-roads many of which was included in special parts of the international trophy raid «Tyan-Shyan trophy ». We go through a lot of passes and force the mountainous rivers. Till the evening we get to the lake of Kayandy. We spend this night in the warm Kazakh yurts which are surrounded with the Tyan-Shyan. The sleep here is strong and healthy!

Day 7. Kaindy lake – Asy plateau

After breakfast we make a short tracking and go down to the lake to admire its cleanliness and stony trees sticked out of the water.

Today we go through 3 passes: Alabital, Bakaly,Asy and Sarytau range and force the Asy river. Abrupt winding roads will lift us on Asy plateau which is the paradise on the Earth. The Asy plateau is the largest high- mountain summer pasture in the country. There is a blue sky and green meadows. This is created specially for relax. You can lie on the grass, breathe with mountainous air, drink kumys (horse’s milk) and enjoy the moment until we get to stuffy city jungles, because our tour comes to the end.

This night we stay in yurts of hospitable shepherd Kajrat under the bright starry sky of the Kazakh earth.

Day 8. Asy plateau - Almaty city

After breakfast we go through the Turgen gorge where the civilization’s signs can be seen. We have a dinner at one fish restaurant where we taste mountain trout.

Here there will be a bus and you can return to the city and have a rest in the hotel.

In the evening we meet all together at the restaurant to celebrate the end of our tour, exchange with photos and we give you the presents and the souvenirs.

So, these are only the main features of our tour. You must have in mind that all these places are united with the unique route including asphalt, sand, gravel, clay, grass, bushes, stony cliffs, mountainous serpentines, rivers and forests, which cannot be described in the tour programs. It is also impossible to describe the drive and all those pleasant feelings which you feel yourself during the trip. To feel it, you must arrive in Almaty and come to us. Trust us. Nobody except us can escort you among the secret paths of the great nomads.
